About this listen
Jessica Bradley has it all: the perfect boyfriend; influential healthy eating blog; successful PR company; and wonderful daughter, Anna. Or at least that is what her thousands of followers believe.
The truth is, her boyfriend just broke up with her in four words on a Post-it; her zest for healthy eating has all but disappeared; her PR success is all reliant on her now not-so-honest online life; and she just got caught eating her daughter's Coco-Pops.
So as they say: fake it 'til you make it. A few little white lies and phoney smiling selfies and Jess can keep up appearances. But when her real life starts to spiral out of control, how can Jess tell the truth from the lies? And will she be able to seize real happiness when it is right in front of her?
Hilarious, heart-warming and oh-so relatable, prepare to fall in love with Jessica Bradley's search for happiness. Perfect for fans of Louise Pentland, Anna Bell and Lindsey Kelk.

An Easy Listen
💛 The strongest part of this was its themes. Social media fakery and holistic fads are topics guaranteed to get the mind ticking over. That coupled with decent writing and well-delivered wit (#fishhavefeelings) made this a pleasant way to spend 11 and a half hours.
💚 Having said that, the plot and main character let it down. Now, for me, plot isn't the be all and end all, but this was slightly too convoluted. As such, Jessica Bradley, an otherwise intelligent main character made some odd choices for the sake of progressing it. In particular, she seemed to completely ignore her daughter until everyone else was screaming at her to notice.
💜 Overall, this was exactly what it said on the cover. Fine. I think anyone looking for a light rom-com would enjoy it.

SOUNDBITE
🎧 This was the very definition of an easy listen; the kind of audiobook you can have on in the background without worrying a momentary lapse of concentration will have you scrabbling for the rewind button.
🎧 Olivia Mace was an excellent choice for this. She sounded the very epitome of a bemused-at-life mum and instagrammer. Lots of energy and pith.

SHALL I COMPARE THEE TO...
My favourite book in this genre (mumlife humour lit) is Why Mummy Drinks. If you like this and you haven’t already, give that a listen.
