Summary
Authors Stephen Arterburn and Fred Stoeker believe that every man can meet the secret desires of his wife. The problem is, most of us aren't exactly sure what that desire is and how we can go about fulfilling it faithfully. In Every Man's Marriage, you can discover the common misconceptions about what it means to exercise biblical authority and understand the role of submission in the marriage relationship.
This groundbreaking book can help men grasp and apply essential but often overlooked principles for marital leadership. Through candid reflections on their own struggles to achieve biblical unity in their own marriages, along with many years of combined experience in marital counseling, Arterburn and Stoeker apply solid, time-tested biblical wisdom to the everyday potential distortions that can lead to strife in a marriage.
The second book in the "Every Man" series, this is the perfect follow-up to the best-selling Every Man's Battle. Every Man's Marriage is a terrific resource for establishing mutual respect and sacrifice in your marriage based on Christ's example of loving His bride, the church.

On reflection, not a healthy book
An excellent exploration of the importance of love in the form of service within marriage and challenging assumptions often made by men. However I am not convinced the image of women and what is expected of them is always healthy.
*EDIT ADTER FURTHER REFLECTION*
The first 2 thirds of this book gives excellent examples of the way husbands casually mistreat their wives and it was genuinely useful. however, the servant approach was set within the position of being ultimatebhead of the household. this needs to be interpreted with care and relies heavily on a small portion of scripture. the last third was about sexual relationships within marriage and seemed to say that if the husband is the servant of the first two thirds of the book, a good wife will do her duty in bed even if she is not in the mood. this undermined all the previous work. ot was ended by an open letter from the authors wife saying much the same. I found it a little sinister. I may have understood all of this wrongly but I'd be wary of recommending this book.
