About this listen

Amazing story with a wonderful narrator

I watch the movie and wanted to read the book. As usual, the book is much better...ish. I like to listen while I'm reading but Saramago's style is weird and tiring. Super long paragraphs, few points and dashes, and a lot of commas. So started this book by reading it and listening. This way I can read 2 or even at 2.5x of speed. But afater a while I just gave up reading and focus on listening. The narrator is good and I was missing a good narrated story while focusing to much in the writing style. To be honest, the audiobook format is far superior.
