Summary
A real-life story of a Firefighter's wellbeing journey.
Everyone, from all walks of life, will at some point in their existence be affected by a traumatic or stressful event. These events have a detrimental impact on our wellbeing and mental health.
As a serving firefighter, I have felt this impact personally whilst responding to various emergency incidents. I want to share my story, so others who are similarly suffering, often in silence, can get the help they need and return to a place of calm.
I will explain why and how trauma can hurt you and detail a number of ways you can take back control and get your head back above the water.

Incredible insight to mental well-being & the fire service!
Wow! The first incident had me gripped! Then after that how the trauma was related to general well-being and mental state was a really interesting read. Despite not being in the fire service myself, the book is still really able to give you an insight into how trauma of any kind can impact your everyday life. From everyday behaviours to negative or anxious mind sets. I would highly recommend a read!
