Summary
Becca is a runner.
She ran from me the first day we met, and she still runs all the time - from us, from what we could be.
She tells me it’s because she doesn’t believe in love. I tell her, "believe in me.” Because I, Lars Samuels, will rock her world and treat her like a queen.
She says, “Ha, I will never be caught.”
Good thing I’m really good at catching things. I should be. I’m the best wide receiver on the Columbus Comets football team.
I like winning. So I’m going to win her. Once I catch her, of course.
Eligible Receiver is the third novel in the best-selling Men of Fall football romance series.

Quite enjoyable
The author writes extra sweet romances, and this book was no exception. So yeah, it may be a bit too saccharinated for my taste, but sometimes, I need it.
The meet cute, though, was surprisingly extremely sexy. I loved it. Too bad it felt out of character for both of them–especially Becca–even though we know next to nothing about them. I totally get that it was a spur of the moment, but the more we learn about Lars and Becca, the less I believed in that first scene. And the coincidence of having common friends who are trying to set them up together was too good to be true.
The rest of the romance was adorable though, and I loved it. The way Lars is slowly seducing Becca because he doesn’t agree with being just friends–while she also wants something more. It was a perfect friends to lovers experience. Slow burn, but not too much.
The conflict that threatens their relationship, though completely understandable–because Becca has problems with trusting people, and Lars’s actions were questionable–should have been resolved much faster if the characters had kept acting like themselves.
The narration was good. The male narrator especially does a good job expressing passion and strong feelings. Great skill for romance! Hence the audiobook was quite enjoyable.

I loved it
I loved this story. I loved how these two characters met in the cinema. Was just too cute. I loved that Lars was attached to Becca since he met her and tried everything to make it work.
Becca I liked her character, but she annoyed me when she jumped to conclusions and also when she kept on running away from him, like really come on...
Other than that I loved the romance of this story, and I want to read the previous books in this series.
The narrators were spot on for me. I think that Oliver Clark was the perfect voice for Lars. This was my first listen for Reagan West, but I enjoyed her narration as well

Sweet & Delightful! Wonderful Story & Listen 🎧📚🎧
I am loving S.R. Grey’s “Men of Fall” series and this book is an awesome addition. The story is well written with interesting storylines that are captivating from start to end. This is Becca and Lars’s story, Becca is Jodi’s friend and business partner and Lars is friends and teammates with Caleb. Jodi and Caleb were the featured couple in the second book, they met when Becca convinced Jodi to go on a blind date in her place, Caleb was not that date but rather her rescuer from said date. Becca has sworn off men and dating but that does not stop Jodi and Caleb from trying to set her up with one of his teammates but she turns down the offer each time. Hating to be alone on Valentines day Becca goes to the movies where she sees a handsome man sitting by himself, she sits near him and next thing she knows she is embracing him and gets lost in a hot passionate kiss. Coming to her senses she does what she does best and runs but she can not get him or that kiss out of her head. Lars is a wide receiver for the Columbus Comets does not have trouble getting woman, but meeting a stranger and having a hot encounter with her in a darken movie theater leaves him wanting more. Jodi get Becca to finally go on that date with one of Caleb’s teammates, it was a big surprise to both of them who their date was, the one they shared that passionate kiss with at the theater. I adored these two characters, I thought they were great together and for each other. Becca needed to get past her own insecurities about dating and once she gave in it was magical. This is a great sports romance, they fall in love quickly but obstacles arise and Becca resorts to what she does best, runs, but Lars can run faster. I loved how everything plays out in this book, the story is beautifully plotted with plenty of drama, a touch of angst, heartfelt and emotional moments, and a wonderful romance. S.R Grey, thank you for another wonderful story & emotional rollercoaster ride.
🎧📚🎧 And for the fabulous narration, Reagan West and Oliver Clarke are talented narrators and voice artists. They did a great job bringing the characters to life, giving each their own voice and personality. Their portrayal of the each character was spot on, sounding just as I picture them to sound. I loved how they took each role and made it their own. They set the perfect tone for the story, captured all of the characters emotions and projected them into their performance. They are entertaining storytellers and a pleasure to listen to. Thank you for the great listen🎧

Sweet sport romance
I got this audiobook narrated by Reagan West and Oliver Clarke, and it was fun to hear, I really enjoyed this sport romance story. Becca and Lars's story was very good, full of banter and with a backstory that had me hooked. The audiobook narration was amazing, definitely one I recommend, I have enjoyed all the audiobooks I have heard by SR Grey and this was no exception.

I loved the audio for this book, was such an easy listen.
For the story I just thought at points Becca wasn’t reasonable to Lars and I wasn’t sure how she believed what she did.
I thought you could tell it was obviously not the case and Lars deserved better. So I kind of got stuck on that and made me not enjoy the story as much as I thought I would.
