About this listen
As a young debutante in Manhattan, she spends her days teaching needy children and touring crowded tenements. There, she makes a life-changing discovery that later enables her to redefine the role of America's first lady - being shy doesn't matter as long as she's helping others.

Inspiring and eternal.
I found the book really inspiring. The life of Mrs. Roosevelt and her transformation at the age of 40 is admirable. From gray little forgotten and betrayed woman she raised to the most powerful woman of her time despite the undermining of the man of her time.
