About this listen

It began with a breakthrough. In interspecies communication. Leading both John Clay and Alison Shaw through a series of startling discoveries and life-altering revelations. Divulging who we really are as a species. Why we are here...and who is here with us. And the greatest lesson of all, that our brains are not as rare and unique as humans had assumed. But rather just one of three brains between three extraordinary species. All influenced by a fluke of evolution and something that should never have existed on Earth in the first place. Something we are now finally on the verge of understanding.

It will take more than just one brain to do it. More than just one species. And courage from all three. Courage in the face of those still trying to stop Clay and Alison before their stranglehold on the world is lost. But Clay and his team already know the truth. That there is no courage without fear, and no victory without sacrifice.

Good storylines

Is there going to be another book as there were lots of unanswered questions in this one - however I have enjoyed all the books so far

Frustrating

Too many loose ends. Thoroughly enjoyed all the books but left with too many unresolved aspects of the various story lines

English Accent

I’ve enjoyed all of this series and think Scott Brick is a very good narrator but, and it’s a big but, the English character should have an English accent not an Australian accent. It’s so bad I’m finding it very hard to carry on listening. It’s worse than Sean Connery and his Russian accents. Much much worse.

Fabulous series

Love the story, characters (can’t wait for the next instalment) and overall performance was good. The only negative is the shocking English accent, which was more of a dodgy Australian accent and as a Brit it was painful to hear. It would be far better going forward for the narrator to just do a normal American voice.
