Not your normal dragon story.

H. L. Burke has written the characters very well, I especially like main character’s banter Mary Ann Weathers adds to this giving the characters life with their great narration and unique voices. The story is well written and paced, it is engaging from start to finish and is rather charming to boot.

This was well worth listening to and I would be interested in finding out what happens next in the character’s lives.

YA fantasy Mystery

Where does Dragon's Curse rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

This book was very much not what I expected but none the less i found it very Interesting. That said there is so much to like here. Great characters like Shannon , a strong female lead and so much good humor including what may be the world's first double act of this variety!Gnaw is superb . I think the treatment of magic and the way it is linked to life force and emotion is also very well done.I do wish she had put the clues together a little faster in this book but I still enjoyed the ride. The duo's tactics and the ebb and flow of the tale are both imaginative and quite riveting. Mary Ann Weathers narrates all of the books in this series and I found her engaging .She does well in conveying the emotion involved and the highs and lows in this book as they are extremely real, it makes you feel at the right times, and keeps you there, waiting and hoping things turn out okay.

Any additional comments?

This book series is 100% going to be One of those rare series that end all too quickly leaving you feel very glad that you read it but also a little sad that it's over. This one has it all for me; a great story, great characters and some on the nail humour,Emotion and kinship The key point when listening to the latest book in this series is obviously to confirm that it delivers on the promise the first few books made and this one does that in spades! I was voluntarily provided this free review copy audiobook by the author, narrator, or publisher.I received this title for free in exchange for an unbiased review. As always this is my honest opinion .

Great book and narration!

I enjoyed this book, and so far I'm really enjoying the series also(currently listening to book 3). I'm a sucker for dragon books to be honest. I love how descriptive everything is and a lot of scenes and characters are easy to picture while listening. The narration is on point also, with a good range of voices and emotions. It makes it that much easier to immerse myself in the world. The characters feel very real and complex, and what little politics it goes over is simple(thankfully).

I only had a couple things that I found a bit irksome. First, the foreshadowing was pretty heavy handed, so the latter half of the book was pretty predictable(and a bit infuriating waiting for them to finally realize who the big bad is). Also, the romance felt a bit...maybe not quite forced, but definitely rushed. The main characters are told by others that they're obviously in love, more than we really get to see it develop. But, it is a fairly short book so that's probably why. Overall, I still really enjoyed it and am looking forward to finishing the series.

I received a free copy of this book, and just wanted to share my honest thoughts on it.
