A National Best Seller
In perilous times, facts, expertise, and truth are indispensable. President Trump's flagrant disregard for the truth and his self-aggrandizing exaggerations, specious misstatements, and bald-faced lies have been rigorously documented and debunked since the first day of his presidency by The Washington Post's Fact Checker staff.
Donald Trump and His Assault on Truth is based on the only comprehensive compilation and analysis of the more than 16,000 fallacious statements that Trump has uttered since the day of his inauguration. He has repeated many of his most outrageous claims dozens or even hundreds of times as he has sought to bend reality to his political fantasy and personal whim.
Drawing on Trump's tweets, press conferences, political rallies, and TV appearances, The Washington Post identifies his most frequently used misstatements, biggest whoppers, and most dangerous deceptions. This book unpacks his errant statements about the economy, immigration, the impeachment hearings, foreign policy, and, of critical concern now, the coronavirus crisis as it unfolded.
Fascinating, startling, and even grimly funny, Donald Trump and His Assault on Truth by The Washington Post is the essential, authoritative record of Trump's shocking disregard for facts.

ASTOUNDING
The man is a compulsive liar, he's deranged, he has a vast inflated ego, he's ugly, orange, thick, childish, inarticulate, unintelligent, full of his own importance, racist, rude, arrogant, ugly (did I say ugly?) his hair is a mess, he thinks he's the best President "in the history of this country" he's a male chauvinist pig, but apart from that, he's a great guy!!!! If he gets elected again, I hope he never gets to be in the same room as the nuclear button... Erm, what does this button do?!?! Baaaaaaaaaaaang.. ✨✨✨⚰️⚰️💣💣💣💣💣💣💣💣💣💣💣💥💥💣💥💥

If it’s not true………….then it’s a LIE !!!
Fascinating and factual based insight. Into how a mongrel (TRump) managed to weasel his way into the top job in the United States. The fact that TRump is a bare faced liar. Is NOT the biggest shocker here. Come on, lets be honest. Anyone with a few brain cells and the ability to critically challenge the ‘populist’ narrative, knows that. But what I find astounding, is that half of America think that this cretin. Is some kind of stable “genius”. When he is CLEARLY the complete opposite. His ‘cult’ just blindly believe every piece of of crap that comes out of his mouth. This book is well written and chugs along at a reasonable pace. The narrator basically tells you what TRump wrote/said and the context, date (ie, press interview, tweet, rally etc). Then proceeds to tell you what the ACTUAL truth is and where that came from.

Liar Liar, Pants on Fire !
Didn’t know whether to be furious or laugh half of the time . I’ve been exasperated over the last three and a half years that people and the press seem to have become so inured to Trump’s lies. His gross exaggerations, crass bullying and misrepresentation of the facts are so commonplace and we don’t really pay much attention to it anymore. And few people seem to stand up in public and tell the truth - that he’s a liar! This book is what I’ve been waiting for. Finally someone using fact (and not Kellyanne Conway’s ‘alternative facts’) to shine a light on Trump’s constant lies and exaggerations. At times I found Trump’s lies so ridiculous that they were hilarious. I wouldn’t have imagined five years ago that that nearly half the electorate would accept and seemingly celebrate a pathological liar as President of the USA. The book raises the issue as to whether Trump has forever degraded the standards of the presidency. Has American politics dispensed with need for truth and transparency or will Trump create a rebound effect and highlight the need for moral and ethical fitness in future candidates? In the introduction the authors accept that because of the format of the book it can be repetitive at times. The repetitive formula of Trump’s statements followed by the facts should become boring but I managed to read it through in a single day without a problem. Having recently read Mary Trump’s ‘Too Much and Never Enough’ I have a better understanding of his need to constantly boast, blame others and make wild exaggerations but the sheer scale of the problem that this book highlights is staggering. This will be a great resource for future political historians when they try to make sense of Trump’s inept and deceit-filled tenure as President. I highly recommend the book - particularly to his supporters. However, as the book covers, our tendency is to ignore information that doesn’t fit with our political views and to create an echo-chamber’ of news that reinforces them. Whatever you’re views are about Donald Trump the facts speak for themselves!
