A Waterstones Paperback of the Year 2019

A Sunday Times paperback of the year 2019

Selected for Stylist's The Decade's 15 Best Books by Remarkable Women

Award-winning journalist Dolly Alderton survived her 20s (just about) and in Everything I Know About Love, she gives an unflinching account of the bad dates and squalid flat-shares, the heartaches and humiliations and most importantly, the unbreakable female friendships that helped her to hold it all together. Glittering with wit, heart and humour, this is an audiobook to press into the hands of every woman who has ever been there or is about to find themselves taking that first step towards the rest of their lives.

Beautiful

I enjoyed this book so much. Dolly writes so beautiful and she expressed so many of the things I’ve felt so precisely. She also reads it so nicely and it felt so personal. I can’t wait to listen to it again.

Every woman in their twenties needs this book!

I LOVED this audiobook, devoured it in a week. So nice to know I'm not the only one who thinks these things as a woman in my twenties in London. Funny, at times heart breaking, and most of all, inspirational. Can't wait for the next book from Dolly.

Amazing amazing amazing ❤️

For the first couple of chapters I wondered what the hype was all about but then I was in and it was glorious. It made me laugh and cry and when I got to the end, remind me to cherish my friendships and relationships with people I love. It’s also bloody funny 😍

Lovely to listen to

I enjoyed this even though I’m probably a little above the target age (34). Funny, sad and sweet. Definitely some very relatable sections.

Great for millenial woman

This was difficult to relate to at times as the author openly admits to being very priveleged but It got better half way through. she seemed a tad too fascinated by her own experience as being unique. Its not. The recipes were really annoying and the tone a bit patronising. She borrows from bridget jones diary but does it well. I do like her brutal honesty and the stories of the baby shower and hen dos were hilarious. her insights into her relationship issues were just brilliant. Glad I stuck it out

Hillariously funny but oh so true

This book is absolutely fantastic. I laughed, i wanted to cry but mainly i resonated with what she said so much. As a 29 year old single women edging 30 its a great book to realise to not take yourself to seriously. Must read.
