Summary
Christmas Eve in the year 3060, and the planet Puxatornee is home to a prosperous human colony. A spacecraft has arrived in orbit carrying the Slithergees, a race of obsequious alien slugs. Their home world has been destroyed, and they are humbly requesting permission to settle on the first moon. And if they don't get permission, then they are humbly threatening to declare all-out war.
The future hangs in the balance. The decision rests with Bailey, the colony's president - but she has other things on her mind.
Christmas Eve in the year 3090, and the planet Puxatornee has changed beyond all recognition. The Doctor and Mel arrive on a completely unrelated mission to defeat a race of terrible monsters and soon discover that something rather confusing has been happening to history.
Written by Jonathan Morris and directed by Gary Russell.

Loop the loop in time?
If this book wasn’t for you, who do you think might enjoy it more?
probably someone who would not get dizzy trying to follow the plot!
What was most disappointing about Jonathan Morris’s story?
the lack of any real conclusion to the story, it presents characters caught in a loop of alternating history without them being able to realise that the events they are changing - then changing back do not get a better result. In this case the grass is bleak and black on both sides of the fence. So confusing to the listener trying to sort of which version of which character is doing what and when!
Have you listened to any of Colin Baker and Bonnie Langford ’s other performances? How does this one compare?
Actually its Sylvester McCoy and Bonnie - both doing a sterling job of trying to make sense of the script!
You didn’t love this book--but did it have any redeeming qualities?
Only that it filled in time while I was on the treadmill
