About this listen

My name is Michael Claymore, former convicted felon and active duty space marine.

When the histories are studied by those happy few who inherit the galaxy we have left them with, my hope is that they look favorably, perhaps even with a bit of mirth, upon we poor souls who fought side by side with the mighty dinosaurs of Battle Force Jurassic.

The Invaders emerged from somewhere beyond the Milky Way and started conquering everything in sight. They brought with them massive kaiju monsters that made every Godzilla movie pale in comparison. These things would smash through our cities, gobbling up every human being, nuclear plant, or electrical tower they could find. In their wake came legions of alien infantry outfitted with body armor and ray guns, who stalked the ruins looking for survivors.

It was all our modern military could to just to hold them back, and even that cost us dearly. Humanity was in the deep dark stank of it, and some desperate scientists came up with a crazy idea. We needed not only a way to fight back effectively, but a symbol of power to rally around.

When a Tyrannosaurus Rex joins your team, especially one armed with missile launchers and mini-guns, you know it's business time.

"Just follow me and you'll be all right."

Any additional comments?

Earth colonised the stars, never expecting to find other intelligent life. But that life found the colonies. How do you fight superior giant lizard-like Invaders? With dinosaurs, of course!

This is a fun, fighting against hopeless odds military space story, like so many others but with that extra Jurassic ingredient. The battles are seen through the eyes of Rick Claywell, released from a long prison sentence to sign up with the military for five years, should be live that long. We follow the new troops' brief induction period then the battlefields themselves and Rick's progress "from convict to captain". Yes, a familiar story but great fun and with some nice little additional touches along the way.

Made extra enjoyable by the excellent narration of J.Scott Bennett, whose very pleasant on the ear voice reads impeccably as well as giving distinctive character to all of the protagonists, this is not a book to get over excited about but does provide a very pleasurable few house of listening. My thanks to the rights holder who gifted me a copy of Dino Mechanical, via Audiobook Boom. Good fun!

A war story with dinosaurs.

If the title of this book interests you then this is probably the book for you. It is solidly written by Isaac Stone and enhanced by good narration. The characters have their own personalities and are granted their own unique voices by J. Scott Bennett's narration.

This is a decent story with a cool set up it has armed dinosaurs what's not to like?. It is more action film rather than grim and gritty. The story flows quickly and is well paced. It is a little light on the whole horrors of war and overly detailed combat descriptions some books go into which can be a plus or a minus depending on what you like. It would be interested in seeing what happens next to the setting.

I was happy with the time I spent listening to this book and it is well worth a listen.
Now, where do I get my own dinosaurs?

What made the experience of listening to DinoMechs: Battle Force Jurassic the most enjoyable?

This was Amazing ! totally unlike anything I have ever read before! It is as amazing as watching dinosaur mechs in battle sounds!!The description of the battles were so ineradicable and detailed down to the slightest twitch of a tail .Truly outstanding. Michael Claymore Is a fantastic character witty ,funny and commanding. The Kaiju Monsters were pretty terrifying.J. Scott Bennett did an amazing job taking us through the story of the earths battle and breathed life in to a seriously kick a** tale of Dino wars. You will be completely astonished with the unraveling of the story.I for one would love to see book 2 out sooner rather than later.

Dinosaurs to the rescue!!

As earth's colonies are attacked, it is left to convicts forced into service and genetically created prehistoric dinosaurs, to save the day. Good book following Clay, as he fights to stay alive and earn his freedom with a clean record.

Well narrated, kept the story moving along at a good pace.
