Summary

We Mackenzies are henchmen. The whole lot of us. Until I met her....

Leith

In Clan MacKenzie, we fight for each other. We die for each other. And when I fell for Chevelle, those same rules applied to her. She loves me, but hates the family business. So, I hid the villain in me until today. Today, I need to do what must be done and that requires the help of the same people she would rather us keep our distance from.

Chevelle

After tragedy destroyed my family, I should’ve run from all things MacKenzie, not straight into Leith Mackenzie's arms. I was broken. He remade me. Loved me and our little baby. Showed me that monsters could be humans and have hearts, too. That he could be different than the rest of his ruthless clan. Unfortunately, now, Leith can't be the hero for me that he was before. He needs to be that Savage Scot instead, and I'm afraid it'll cost us everything.

Die For You is the first book in the MacKenzie Crime Family series. This steamy love story of two childhood lovers is a stand-alone and contains no cliff-hangers, no cheating, and has a HEA. This is a mature new adult romance.

Loved the story!

This is the first book I heave experienced by the author. I loved it, loved the main characters Leith & Chevelle, Leith's family, the plot. Leith and Chevelle grew up together, are married & have a child. Leigh is blackmailed by an unknown entity & he doesn’t want to use his resources but at the end of the day, he's a MacKenzie, and that means something. You can’t really get away from your Mafia roots and protect the ones you love. Be prepared for lots action and twists in this compelling listen. I have mixed feedback about the narrators. JT Farrell did an okay job with his Scottish accent. It seemed that when he got tired, the accent would slip quite a bit. Sometimes when he was to be speaking from The American's point of view, he would use his Scottish accent instead of the American one. It was a lot to juggle, he did an okay job. Robyn Isaacs did a great job of Chevelle, but when she had to do a Scottish accent, it was a fail for me. Even though it was tough to listen to, I loved the story so much, I persevered.

I received a copy of this audiobook from the author. My honest opinion is voluntarily provided.
