Summary

Get close. Uncover his secrets.... Destroy his empire from the inside out.

Rick

I rose from nothing to own this city.

A smooth-talking bastard with an empire of sin.

I was so used to winning that I never saw her sleight of hand.

Now I'm dancing with the devil, and she's holding all the aces.

Nina

I jumped from my father's penthouse to drown in this city.

Just another damaged Bratva princess hiding in plain sight.

They offered me freedom in exchange for his downfall.

Get close.

Uncover his secrets.

Destroy his empire from the inside out.

It seemed so easy...and when you're as broken as I am, there's nothing left to lose.

Except for my heart.

Devils & Dust has no cliff-hanger and a guaranteed HEA. For mature listeners only.

Amazing

This book is non stop action. It has a storyline with so many twists I almost got dizzy. It’s a very well thought out plot and the characters are great. A brilliant performance.

Great Story with Mystery and Intrigue!!!

I fell in love with this author's work and her writing style after listening to the Santiago Trilogy, so I was excited to dive into a book featuring Rick Sanders. He was tough and mysterious in the Santiago Trilogy so I was intrigued to learn more about him and see where the author would take us. Having said all that, Devils & Dust can be read or listened to as a complete standalone.

Rick and Nina are both mysterious and hiding secrets, but there is something drawing them together. Though Nina sets out on one mission, she finds herself going down a completely different path the more time she spends with Rick and the more she gets to know him and by then nothing is as it really seems.

This book kept me invested from beginning to end. The audiobook narration was very well done. Jeffrey Holz and Sarah Puckett were very engaging and easy to listen to and really brought this story to life. I really enjoyed both Rick and Nina as the main characters and the twists along the way as the story unraveled. I enjoyed getting another glimpse from some of the characters from the Santiago Trilogy and cannot wait for more from this author in the future. PinkFlamingoProductions TheFlockVIPReviewTeam

Sad and Fierce

I Iove this writer's books and this one was no exception. it just didn't grasp me in the way that the Santiago Trilogy did and hence the 4 stars. The story, however, was really good and I loved how the tributaries wound their way through the book from stsrt to finish!

The #duetnarration was excellent by #SarahPuckett as usual and new to me #JeffreyHolz who made an excellent Rick Sanders! I will definitely be looking out for more of his work!

Catherine Wiltcher does it again.

This author writes fantastic mafia stories. I have not been disappointed by any of her books. I loved being able to get Rick’s story. While this is a standalone, having read the Santiago trilogy allowed me to continue in that world for a little longer. The narrators did an amazing job capturing the characters and adding depth to the story. Loved it.

Amazing story

It's always good to get back in the Santiago World. Seeing Dante with his kids is a pleasure. But is it really? He is still as dark as ever! But he isn't our focus this time. It's Rick and Nina and their plight is just as dark and dangerous. Nina is on a mission to save her sister. Her brutal father is farming her out and using her to do his bidding with her sister's life on the line. She will do whatever it takes. Infiltrating Rick's empire should be a piece of cake! There is an immediate attraction between the two, but Rick is sharp. Can he trust her? Well, he knows he has never had the feelings with another he has with her. Both are keeping secrets, and it's only a matter of time to find out their hands, what they will do and how it will end! It's twists and turns with passion and fear. It's another fantastic show of the inside of Catherine Wiltcher's mind, and I love to visit!

Jeffrey Holz and Sarah Puckett are our storytellers and together they paint a picture of a dark and dangerous world! Rick is complex, and has an air of danger in his personality, and Holz grabs on to that and keeps it in the forefront. He plays with his conflicting feelings so it's easy to feel his uneasiness and passion. Puckett comes in as Nina, broken, scared, strong and smart. Her ability to delve into the mind of Nina and pull out all her traits is amazing. Together they gave a fantastic performance!

Enemies To Lovers Mafia Romance

Devils & Dust by Catherine Wiltcher is an enemies to lovers mafia romance that I listened to on audio narrated by Jeffrey Holz and Sarah Puckett.

I was pulled in from the first chapter and couldn't wait to see what was going to happen next. I really enjoyed the relationship that bloomed between Rick and Nina. I loved getting both of their points of views throughout the book. It really brought the story to life.

Jeffrey and Sarah did a great job on the narration. They both really know how to bring a story to life. I look forward to listening to more of their work in the future.

I would recommend this book if you like mafia romances or enemies to lovers romances.
