About this listen
Lady Annalyse Granville is a cursed second-born twin. Because of superstition and fear that a second-born twin is naught but a spawn of the devil, she's been sent to live with the nuns. However, she returns to her father's castle at Christmastime at her sister's request. Her sister is the king's mistress and very pregnant with his baby. And what happens during Annalyse's visit changes her life forever.
Ross Douglas has managed to get betrothed to an English lassie, having alternative motives in his head because of his hatred for the English king. But when he spies an innocent maiden standing under the kissing bough, he knows he has to kiss her.
Can one kiss change a man's life? What happens that Christmas changes everyone's lives in ways they could never expect.

A good listen
This is a really quick read that sets the back drop for a series about triplets who are the bastard son's of the King of England but are raised by a Scott.
Ross Douglas plans to trick the Kings pregnant mistress to marry him and whisk them away before the King finds out what he is up to. All good plans go astray and this one goes so wrong yet it turns out brilliant for Annalyse the second born twin to the King's mistress. This is a good book I recommend reading this before the others in the series

Good short story
Enjoyed this short story. This is the prequel to the series of Legendary of the Bastards of the Crown. Brian Gill is a good narrator and changes his voice for the different characters. Definitely worth a credit. Now on to the next one.

Destiny’s Kiss
This audible book is an introduction of the series Legendary Bastards of the crown. It tells how the triplets were born and what happened to them. The Mother of the babies died and her twin sister brought her babies up. An excellent start to the beginning of the series. The narration was excellent. Thank You Miss Rose for penning this lovely book.

Great Beginning
This is a love story that begins as a means to revenge and ends, defying superstition and the kings order, with the rescue of three tiny boys destined to become legendary. The decision Ross and Analyse make that day is the foundation for stories of several generations of adventure, mystery, and romance in The Legendary Bastards of the King, Seasons of Fortitude, and Secrets of the Heart. Fantastic narration by Brian J. Gill. Excellent beginning! Loved it!
