About this listen

I work for Lucifer. Only, it's not as cool and satanic as it sounds.

The truth is, I'm an admin assistant who applied for a job that sounded kind of interesting and ended up working for the Community of Species Government. I'm the only human in the office, and basically I ride herd on a team of rambunctious shifters and demons.

I also spend a lot of time avoiding Gideon Bailey, the demon I had a one-night stand with right before I took this job. He hates me, and I really want to avoid being murdered. But I've been offered a promotion that will mean working with him, so we're both going to have to get over it.

Plus, people are going missing. Pregnant people. And the word is that someone is dabbling in genetic experimentation. Putting a stop to that is more important than the sexual tension Gideon and I have been ignoring...isn't it?

Fantastic voice acting

The story writing is great, very possibly a new favourite author on here, but the voice acting makes it. So many stories are made or broken by the performance and this is one of the best I've heard so far. Clear character differentiation, and the variety of accents is fab, and all very well done. Highly recommend!

Fabulous!

Absolutely loved this! The book itself is amazing anyway, but Joels narration was absolutely perfect. All the stars xx

fun story

This was such a fun story. It flowed smooth and fast and was likely a perfect story for Joel Lesley to narrate. I think I would have liked it to be a little longer. It's told from the point of view of Sam, a human who suddenly finds himself in the world of the supernatural. Sam is very sweet and funny even when he is trying not to be.One major negative is that other than Sam, Alistar and Gideon, other characters are a bit 2 dimensional. I would have liked to see a bit more of this world and the characters.
I did enjoy listening to the book a lot and thought Joel was in his element.

Funny, easy listening

Brilliant narration, laughed out loud several times. I nearly didn't purchase after listening to the sample but it doesn't do the narrator justice. The different voices for all the characters are amazing.

Funny!

Very funny and sweet. Joel Leslie is great at the comedy, and even the slightly cringey accents are funny.

Loved it

Brilliantly humorous and a well written paranormal book. My first book by Louisa Masters, and I will be searching for more now that I have found her.

On Facebook, someone compared Louisa's writing to Alice Winters, and I have to say she is def on par, if not better, well written, full of humour loved the world-building and detail. I would highly recommend it. The characters are so well written, good backstories, you feel like you know them personally, and I love that in a book.

I loved the narration by Joel Leslie, but he is one of my favourite narrators. I did speed up on Audible to 1.2, but this is usual for me.

This Audiobook Is Great!

Loved the MC’s and the world building in this audiobook.

I love MM shifter books anyway, but with magic, sorcerers, hellhounds, demons, vampires and even Lucifer, it made for a fantastic storyline.

The humour is great, especially the ‘World Of Wangs’ 😂

Looking forward to hearing more this series and where the storyline goes next! 🥰

Highly recommend if you’re a fan of the above genre😁

Definitely worth 5⭐️’s!
