But the hells might just end Evelyn's story. They're a strange, dangerous place, and as it turns out, the hells have connections to the Titans...and the system itself.

In the madness, all Evelyn knows is a handful of truths.
She will advance. She will survive. She will kill.
And she will DEVOUR.

Very Climactic
The whole first half of the book feels like a massive climax to the series, and something that by itself could've been split into another book or even two, if the author had really wanted to milk the series for every bit of cash he could. Thankfully, he chose not to, and we ended up with a really action-packed story.
The second half certainly had high points too, particularly the way it ended, but overall it did feel slower, and it actually felt for a while like the characters lost progress (in some respects), but overall, still really enjoyable.

A rather bland ending to a good series
I think the book started strong. I liked the entire hell arc.
The problem for me came after, there were no stakes she fought and struggled in most fights up to this point, but there was no one to challenge her. There were no points where I was concerned or felt tense or excited about what she would pull out next.
At one point only character who makes serious development in this book dies and nothing matters after that point, because the only character whose perspective was still interesting is gone. That lasts up until the final fight, which was good, but not enough to compensate. Finally, I didn't like the outro, it felt a bit out of character.
