I'll never forget the way the tears on my face turned into slivers of ice as they rolled quickly down my crimson cheeks. And worst of all , I'll never forget the taste of the oil, as the barrel of the blued Smith and Wesson model 1911 sat queerly on my tongue.
A decision had to be made that November evening, roughly 18 years after the hardest decision of my life and of my career was forced upon me as my Dodge Ram sat idling on the side of Route Six.
