Summary

Some lies can't be forgiven....

Don't miss this startling second book in a breath-taking new trilogy from Teri Terry, queen of the teen thriller and author of the best-selling Slated trilogy.

An epidemic is sweeping the country.

You are among the infected. There is no cure, and you cannot be permitted to infect others. You are now under quarantine. The 5% of the infected who survive are dangerous and will be taken into the custody of the army.

As the epidemic spreads, survivors are being hunted like witches, for the authorities fear their strange new powers. Kai is desperate to trace Shay, who tricked him and disappeared. Meanwhile, Shay is searching for the truth behind the origins of the epidemic...but danger finds them wherever they go. Can they outrun the fire?

The reader's emotions and the thrill.

I liked the reader's emotions and that there were loads of plot twists. Can't wait to read the next book!

Not just another Armageddon story

I was given the first book free and even before I finished it I was here searching Audible for the next in the series and had it downloaded ready to read as I finished the first.

The story continues smoothly where the first left off and in this one, the ending is not such a cliff-hanger although I cannot wait until the next comes out here.

New characters are introduced which expand the story which is great and this time we have things told from three of the characters rather than just two in book one and this makes it even better as you get inside another person's head and so see things from their perspective as well which really helps open the story, not that the first book leaves you missing anything, don't think that.

While I do think its possible to listen to this without having first listening to book one I do think you will find you are missing some details but nothing that is vital to the plot of the books, enough backstory is included in this book to ensure you can just read it.

The narrators really bring the characters alive and at so much to the story, they really are good.
