Irish Mafia MARRIAGE OF CONVENIENCE and AGE GAP Romance.
Lethal Enforcer X Damaged Ballerina
Cruel. Insane. Furious. Lachlan O’Rourke crashed my wedding, saw the bruises under my veil, and now… he’s my new husband.
He’s untamed and reclusive and says I’m way too young and innocent for a monster like him. He keeps reminding me this is just a marriage of convenience to keep me safe until the ballet conservatory accepts me.
Dancing is my life. Unaliving is his.
Only, I’m falling for him, and you know what they say?
The devil you know is better than the one you don’t.
Or will this deal with the devil be both our downfall?

Katya and Lachlan
This was a quick and easy listen; I expected things to be a little darker after the initial set up but it was more focussed on Katya's and Lachlan's relationship with each other than the world around them. It kept me engaged largely because I was waiting for someone to try and get to Katya. The altercation which did happen wasn't something I would have guessed and it was definitely not an obvious plot choice which I liked.
There were elements I liked such as the jewellery store (with a bonus tattoo artist) and how Lachlan never tried to clip Katya's wings. However I did struggle with Katya herself as she seemed so sure of herself at the beginning but then seemed to stall. I really liked how she wanted to reclaim her identity and be called by her birth name but then when given the chance she didn't take it. The names became interchangeable after that but it felt like a missed opportunity.
The mix of cast members was really good and I loved that it was a duet. There are a couple of dubious accents however the quality of the production is excellent so it didn't lessen my enjoyment.

devil
Brilliant narration from Lexi Evans, Troy Duran, DB West, Tyler Griffin and Logan Anare
When Lachlan goes to Katya’s father’s to house wanting to resolve an issue he sees Katya dance and after that he is hooked. When Katya is forced to marry and Lachlan sees bruises on her he becomes angry and he them demands he becomes her husband.
Lachlan attraction is strong and is surprised to find it is mutual.
He is full of darkness, he shows Katya that she is important and her world also changes. Having a father who is uncaring to a man full of love.
This is book is full of angst, drama, emotions and steam.
