Summary
Some decisions aren't meant to be easy.
Raegan is back at Shadow Veil Academy, even though it's the last place she wants to be. Her heart is broken, but her rage is even more prominent as she learns just how little has been done to find Malina since she was last there.
When an unexpected visitor arrives at the school, Raegan turns to her dragon side as she searches for the answers she needs to move forward. All the while, thoughts of Enzo's betrayal are never far from her mind, but no matter his reasons, she's not sure she can ever trust him again.
Though, when unforeseen circumstances push them together, ready or not, Raegan has to decide which is more important: Her heart or the chance to figure out just who she really is.

Awesome Sequel
"Stupid traitorous heart"
Loved this sequel! Sometimes with trilogies the second is a little lackluster...not the case here! Heather keeps things interesting. Definitely some unexpected twists. We meet some fun new characters and do some traveling. Though I won't say where to avoid spoilers. You won't be disappointed. 😁

Brilliant
I received this book free and I am leaving this review voluntarily.
I started listening to this just after midnight what was supposed to be one chapter then sleep . However one chapter lead to another and here I am at 6.22am having listened to it all, just when I thought I will go to sleep now I got to a part where I couldn’t leave it .Vanessa Moyen really makes the characters impact on you and the nasty ones like Desmond and Silas make you get soooo angry to the point I was swearing at them 😂
So excited to listen to book 3 and see if Raegan and Enzo can finally be safe and happy.

Good but not deep
This was a good book for washing dishes and doing things around the house. It wasn’t so intense that I needed to zone in on every word but it was a good enough story that I wanted to see what happened. VM is not my fav narrator- she tends to be robotic imo.

Yet another page turner!
Could not put this one down! New story evolution with a hook at the end to keep you dangling for Provocation. And Moyen made it so easy to listen to.

fantastic author
This was a fantastic continuation of the Shadow Veil Academy series. I’m still loving the snarky, fun, witty dialogue, and all the romance that is wound together with a good amount of action and myster which keeps you guessing. We have new worlds, dad revelations, new/old hook ups, dragons, and one crazy sorceress. I can’t wait to get more of her story. A very fun listen, and the narrator does a fantastic job of bringing the story to life!

The story unfolds
I enjoyed this book better than the first as narration had settled and the characters were known to me so the story unfolded and the threat became understood. I also love dragons.

Leaving you wanting more
Okay so, Raegan has a new challenger of character favouritism. Jaylee's spunk attitude adds flavour and life to the story. Not that Raegan's story needed it. But simply compliment s hers.

I need the next book NOW!

I didn’t think I could love the book more than the first but the ups downs twists and turns and dang the cliff hanger that leaves you desperately seeking more. I can’t wait for the next book in the series!

Don't bother
I quite enjoyed the first book, good characters, and storyline, however, it finished without ending that storyline. I downloaded the second book and it appears the story isn't going to finish in this either. It's not that strong a story to cover over 3 books, and in book 2, it's almost a holding pattern?? Not good, a big disappointment after the first installment. Even the great Harry Potter books had entire stories in most of the books but not these. Would have been a good single installment story but its not a trilogy.
