About this listen
When Christa joins a tour group heading deep into the snowy expanse of the Rocky Mountains, she's hopeful this will be her chance to put the ghosts of her past to rest. But when a bitterly cold snowstorm sweeps the region, the small group is forced to take shelter in an abandoned hunting cabin. Despite the uncomfortably claustrophobic quarters and rapidly dropping temperature, Christa believes they'll be safe as they wait out the storm.
She couldn't be more wrong. Deep in the night, their tour guide goes missing...only to be discovered the following morning, his severed head impaled on a tree outside the cabin. Terrified, and completely isolated by the storm, Christa finds herself trapped with eight total strangers. One of them kills for sport...and they're far from finished. As the storm grows more dangerous and the number of survivors dwindles one by one, Christa must decide who she can trust before this frozen mountain becomes her tomb.

Brilliantly written
One of the best thrillers I’ve read in a very long time. What a great writer!

Enjoyable but Predictable
Generally i enjoyed the book. However the so called twist was so obvious from very early & flagged by certain events that i wondered why the characters didn’t mention certain things as odd, even if they didn't leap to the end conclusion. I was hoping that the obvious twist was a red herring tbh! But still was ok just not dazzling.

a chilling thriller
something a bit different from Darcy Coates. I love her ghost stories but this is more of a thriller which was refreshing and has a fantastic twist I never saw coming.
something or someone is killing a group of people who decided to go for a break in the snowy mountains, but its not the peaceful break they expected.

Not her best
I am a great fan of Darcy Coates which is why I opted to read this book. I am really disappointed. It is far too long and repetitive and completely predictable, drawing on a plot which has been used many times before in other novels. Perhaps some may not guess the end (no spoilers) but even if you don't, you will still wish she had sent it to someone to edit. If you like Darcy Coates, don't bother with this one.
