About this listen
Something very strange is happening in LeHorn's Hollow.
Eerie, piping music is heard late at night, and mysterious fires have been spotted deep in the woods. Women are vanishing without a trace overnight, leaving behind husbands and families.
When up-and-coming novelist Adam Senft stumbles upon an unearthly scene, it plunges him and the entire town into an ancient nightmare. Folks say the woods in LeHorn's Hollow are haunted, but what waits there is far worse than any ghost. It has been summoned...and now it demands to be satisfied.

Blew me away!
Wow, Dark Hollow blew me away! My favourite Brian Keene story so far. I liked the characters, they felt very real and like they really were friends. The way Keene fleshed them all out was really impressive, even Big Steve the dog had an amazing character and story arch.
Having the characters so well fleshed out made it a hard listen when it all hit the fan. The ending had me chocked up with teary eyes.
Chet Williamson’s narration only added to making these characters real.

Quality American Horror from Modern Master
While Dark Hollow isn't one of Brian Keene's best books - my favourites are Ghoul and The Rising - his work is always entertaining and full of great characters.
Chet Williamson's narration is typically excellent.
A quality presentation from Crossroad Press.
Recommended.

KAZ 😁 Bedford 🇬🇧
This is quite a good book in my opinion it's dark and has a good story line to it, good character's who are sometime's funny A dog that's complete coward until near the end then he's a hero The main badly is a demon called Pan The 1 thing that I didn't enjoy was the very graphic sex & swearing but you get used to it 😁 Wasn't able to put my rating on so I'd say 4 out of 10 overall it's not bad

Readable but …
Despite presenting an interesting core idea, it lacks the tension and suspense one would expect from a work of this genre. The plot, in fact, offers nothing particularly original or engaging, coming across more as a “porn horror” story, with an excessive repetition of the theme of miscarriage.
One of the critical points of the novel is the use of magic, which seems banal and underdeveloped, lacking the sense of mystery and complexity that should characterize supernatural horror. The handling of situations by law enforcement is also lacking: their actions often seem inadequate and unconvincing, further diminishing the story’s effectiveness.
Despite these flaws, the book is readable. The prose flows smoothly, without unnecessary digressions, and the narrative maintains a steady pace that, while lacking emotional peaks, facilitates reading.
Another negative aspect is the choice of the audiobook narrator. His performance is so unsatisfactory that it makes listening almost unpleasant. After the first ten minutes, it feels like the narration lacks expressiveness, making it difficult to become immersed in the story. It’s hard to follow along without constantly thinking about how much better it could have been if narrated by someone like Will Patton, whose voice and interpretation could have added the depth and tension missing in the current audio.
In conclusion, Dark Hollow is a novel with the potential to entertain, but it falls short due to too many narrative and execution flaws.
