About this listen

The final audiobook in Amanda Scott's Dangerous series introduces one of her most unforgettable heroines - a woman determined to live on her own terms.

Accompanied by her chaperone, her dresser, and her adored pet monkey, Lady Letitia Deverill comes to London to serve as maid of honor to the young Queen Victoria. An impassioned Tory in a sea of Whigs, Letty has no intention of changing her political views.

The headstrong noblewoman soon discovers she has enemies at court, and none more formidable than the powerful - and irresistible - Viscount Justin Raventhorpe. Justin, a staunch Whig, is enchanted by this outspoken woman.

Brought together by a mysterious shared inheritance, Justin and Letty give in to their mutual desire. As scandal threatens their passionate union, a deadly conspiracy against the throne thrusts Letty into mortal peril, and Justin realizes how far he'll go for a love that has become his most dangerous obsession.

Great story, poor pronunciation

I enjoyed the characters and the history lesson, encased in a wonderful story. Unfortunately the narrator’s poor pronunciation of places, names and halting shortening sentences. Especially when a conversation between characters, spoils the punchlines in comedic situations, blew my mind. I must say that her varied characters voices were good.
This is a problem with non British Narrators reading British stories.
It brings a promising book down to an annoying read.

Great story but awful narration

I found this audiobook difficult to get into initially because if the awkward narration. Male voices are particularly wooden. I'm glad that I persisted though as it's a very enjoyable story.

Very like a Georgette Heyer Romance

This is the final book in this series and it is more like an adventure of Georgette Heyer 's! Very enjoyable, with tangles and confusions but it all works out in the end. Narrator has gotten better with each book,. I enjoyed this book, all the more because there was few 'warm moments '
