Summary
The final book of the Walker Brothers Trilogy!
What happens when your entire future is destroyed in moments?
My name is Dane Walker, and I'm entirely, irrevocably damaged. I lost my whole life in the plane crash that killed my father and left me scarred, both physically and emotionally, barely clinging to life in a hospital as the sole survivor of the accident. I wasn't fit to function in the city, so I moved to my own private island in the Bahamas to lick my wounds alone. I'd spent my adult life building up my solitary existence on Walker's Cay. I was fine with being by myself. I was resigned to my fate.
But then I met her.
My brothers sent her; I wanted to send her away. But... I couldn't. Something about Kenzie Jordan reminds me of myself. She's broken just like me. I want to save her from whatever secrets she's hiding. She was handed a pretty raw deal in life, and she's the strongest woman I've ever known. I couldn't leave her alone on the streets somewhere, so I decided to keep her, even though it costed me my peace of mind.
Sure, I wanted Kenzie in my bed. The white-hot chemistry has been there since the moment I saw her. But she leaves me craving something... more. I thought I was helping Kenzie... until I wasn't.
Turns out, we may end up saving each other. She's the cure for my profound loneliness. Can a messed up, solitary man like me ever be enough for a woman like her? I hope so, because I don't plan on ever letting her go....

Damaged
Elizabeth Powers is a great narrator and I love listening to her.
Listening to how Dane and Kenzie's story play out was brilliant. Both of them have been through some very horrible experiences and have scars to deal with. This story is full of romance , sexy, and funny
Wounds and imperfections heal with time. They both have to learn to trust each other and learn to share their hearts.

Hit me right in the heart
I love this story. JS Scott is so talented. The way she incorporates trauma into her stories is really something. For me , many of her books have given me a sense of healing. I love these two characters and the way in which they grow as their love grows and vica versa. I usually prefer a female and male narrator, however, I don't miss the male narrator (as much) whenever elizabeth powers reads a book. Her reading is steady, her voice soothing, intonation diverse.
Thank you for the experience!

great ending to a great series.
this is not my usual genre to read but I was pleasantly surprised at how much I have enjoyed reading all this series books but mostly this one.
I could not wait to hear the story of the loner brother. please give this a try but I do advise starting with the first book in the series.

fantastic!
So much pain and suffering has been part of Danes life, there isn't a more perfect match for him than kenzie, a strong , tough independent woman . But kenzie has a few skeletons in her closet .
A lovely story of two kindhearted people who cone together in mutual grief, tragedy and suffering .
I'm sad to be finished the Walker brothers stories but really hope they will crop up in other series .
I voluntarily read and reviewed this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
