Summary
Cyber armageddon has come. America will not survive!
Cyber-security analyst Kate McCarthy knows something ominous is about to happen in the US banking system. She has a place to go if things get hectic, but it’s far from the perfect retreat.
When a new breed of computer virus takes down America’s financial network, chaos and violence erupt. Access to cash disappears and credit cards become worthless. Desperate consumers are left with no means to purchase food, fuel, and basic necessities. Society melts down instantly and the threat of starvation brings out the absolute worst humanity has to offer.
In the midst of the mayhem, Kate will face a post-apocalyptic nightmare that she never could have imagined. Her only reward for survival is to live another day in the gruesome new reality which has eradicated the world she once knew.
As with all works by Mark Goodwin, this book contains no profanity and no embarrassing sex scenes. However, if you're offended by conservative principles and references to Scripture, this book might not be for you.

Could do without the bible quotes
This is a great story with detail and good characters, the only thing that bugs me is the bible quotes at the beginning of each chapter, very cringeworthy.
I had to return this, book, it turned into a bible bashing novel full of bible readings etc, not my thing at all. The story flatlined, shame really it started off well and ended up preaching.

Amazing
Fabulous performance by the best female narrator I’ve ever heard. I enjoyed every moment of the book the minor religious aspect did not have any effect. I’ll buy more read by this talented narrator.

Predictable and silly
Got through book one and half of book two. The bible parts aren’t as bad a other reviews mentioned but the story became silly and predictable.

Heartfelt and Joyful
again, being a Brit and ex soldier of 25 years I found this trilogy both exhilarating and confusing. I was exhilerated by the rollercoaster and emotional story. Confused by the simplicity and acceptance of the amount of firearms available. Surely it cannot be so simple?
Great story and great narrator.

are you a rootin' tootin' God fearing gun lover?
if you dig guns, conflict and stressful situations on repeat.. you'll absolutely love these books.
if like me you're not really getting why some peeps cling to them as the best form of defense & proceed to wear them going to the corner shop...you might not enjoy this so much...
oh
I nearly forgot everyone remotely relevant to the story becomes Christian...
Guns, God, Wildnerness, lots of shooting, killing and dying..
oh there's a few mentions on how to prepare for this apocalypse of AK-47s.. it involves beans and rice.
but mainly Guns and God!
