Summary
Shaw and his loyal dog, Girl, do their best to avoid humanity, especially now that his fellow werewolves are nearly extinct. But humanity is heading his way.
The Facility is a research centre that specialises in cryptozoology, the search for legendary creatures. Once these ‘cryptids’ are found, they are caged, abused and experimented on to graft their physical prowess onto ordinary soldiers.
Even as the Facility’s troops hunt down Shaw, and the cunning Cryptid Nine plans her escape, something far more horrifying is emerging from hibernation to feed.
And both human and cryptid will discover that nothing can stop the Wendigo....

another great book
this is the 5th book I have listened to by this author since i discovered him a few weeks ago, none have disappointed and have been enhanced by the brilliant narrator jeff harding. recommended

Couldn't do the narrator
this seems like something I should love. like a b movie in book form but I couldn't cope with narrator, everything in the same monotone for long periods.

a nice surprise
Didn't have my hopes up for this one for some reason but I really enjoyed it .
It felt like a fun 80s horror paperback .
I liked the nuts characters the cryptid theme and the setting of this black ops human mutation cryptid capture unit and the secret underground facilities.
will definitely carry on with the series

Book of the year so far
What can I say..? This book was totally brilliant and had me hooked from the first word to the last. Jeff Harding completely immersed himself into all the characters with seemingly effortless professionalism. I’ve had a run of some really good books this year but this one stands out by far.. I want a sequel please .. of course with Jeff Harding

wish you had a 3.5 star rating as this is where this sits, overall decent enough for me to want to listen to the sequel but the narration is average at best.
