About this listen
For two former childhood friends, a blustery winter storm stirs some frosty—and scorching—memories in a delightfully sexy short story by #1 New York Times bestselling author Ali Hazelwood.
All newly minted pediatrician Jamie Malek wants is to borrow a roasting pan for Christmas dinner. Unfortunately, that requires her to interact with Marc—her best friend’s troublemaking brother, who’s now a tech billionaire. He’s the one who got away. She’s the one who broke his heart. Outside, a howling blizzard. Inside, a crackling fire. Suddenly, being snowbound with the man she never expected to see again might not be such a bad way to spend a winter’s night.
Ali Hazelwood’s Cruel Winter with You is part of Under the Mistletoe, a collection of sexy December romances to warm the cold winter nights. They can be read or listened to in one swoony sitting.

Cute but strange
I’m not sure how I feel about this one. It was a cute story idea and i liked the progression between past and present but I feel like the obsession got a bit creepy at time rather than cute, but maybe that’s just me 🥲 like the phone screensaver?! A good way to pass the time overall but nothing to write home about.

Love a short story.
I liked how it was a short story but it kept me interested as it switched between past and present to explain how the characters came together. 😊

Another great story
This is the kind of childhood friends to lovers books I love. Ali Hazelwood has a fun writing style that makes it an easy listen. I had so much listening to this while I walked to a from work the last 2 days.

One of my favourite trope
I enjoyed the book. Brilliant narration from Vivienne, she brought the story to life. The best friend’s sibling trope is one of my favourite.

Cringe
I don't know what that was but a cute little festive novella it was not. Jamie the FMC was insecure and very woe is me. Marc the MMC gave off creepy vibes, the box of pictures in his drawer, having her as his phone screen picture etc whilst them not being a thing was giving stalker vibes but not in the fun way like other reads. The story overall was juvenile and there was a lot of telling not showing and that spicy scene at the end was CRINGE!
