About this listen
What if you’ve worked your whole life for a dream, to play rugby for the most successful sports team on the planet, the New Zealand All Blacks?
What if that dream is so close you can smell it?
What if you meet someone?
What if you fall in love?
What if your dream will cost the man who’s stolen your heart?
And what if the dream changes?
Reuben Taylor has a choice to make.
Cameron Wano is that choice.

Loved the narration
The story is good if somewhat predictable but there is good narration that make it much more enjoyable

excellent narration of a beautiful romance.
I practically inhaled this book. Could not put it down. The angst and rollercoaster of emotions the story makes you feel. I loved the main characters. All you wanted while reading their story is a HEA. I absolutely loved the first book in this series, First Impressions, and have so looked forward to this one. Let's just say that Ms Hogan didn't disappoint.
What follows is a totally compelling story about two men who are total opposites, but desperately want to be together. Neither can see a way out of their dilemma, and their attraction seems doomed.
I really enjoyed the story I thought the characters were brilliantly written and I ached for Reuban. His struggles of wanting to be successful in a sport he loves and embracing his sexuality really tore at my heart. It is so sad that there is so much fear and discrimination against people who can’t be their real selves, or are living their lives in order to please someone else.
I loved the story and adored the secondary characters, all well written. I’m already looking forward to the next book. in the series being available on audible.
Gary Furlong did an excellent job narrating the story. Totally brought Reuban and Cam alive.

Loved the character dynamic
Second time listening and don’t usually repeat read/Audio. However, love the entire series and could listen multiple times. A little predictable but love an HEA with some angst and the plot was plausible and interesting. At no point did I find it slow or boring- Cam is a great character and The entire book kept me entertained.

Love wins in the end
Reuben and Cameron really are great, I love that this is not a wambam thank you mam love story is. I just adore how they both care about Cody. And heartbreaking to see how Reuben his brother Gary can't deal with the (mental) abuse their father dolls out. They take time to find and accept their relationship. This is a story that is well layed out and. Gary Furlong does great in the narration.

My first completed Gary Furlong narration...🥳🥳🥳
I adored this story when it came out, but was rather worried when I saw that Mr Furlong was behind the mic🎙. He and I normally just do not get along...I find his narrating 'voice' monotonous and boring 😴 to say the least and for me, he doesn't particularly add anything special to the story as I believe a decent narrator should; however, colour me completely blown away 🥰🥰🥰 by his 'performance' for Cam and Reuben. I was amazed by the energy and enthusiasm he gave to the characterisations in the story, he really put 100% and his heart and soul into it and on the strength of this example I also bought First Impressions, the first in the Auckland Med series. That one I wasn't so keen on, but that was down to the story and not his narration. If I could get around my 'dislike' of some of his work, then I would also have bought Hailey Turner's Soulbound series and Dal Maclean's Bitter Legacy series [they were failures unfortunately and returned to Audible].

Kiss and Make up
Unsatisfactory Book 2 after an OK Book 1. Couldn't get past hour 2 despite the excellent narration.
