Summary

Meteorologist Sky Matthews does not like surprises.

Sky monitors her life like she does the weather, carefully and with a scientific eye. So, when she misses out on her dream job abroad and finds herself with no choice but to take a position on a tidal island off the Cornish harbour town of St Felix instead, she feels completely at sea. Worse still, she has to work alongside TV weatherman Sonny Stevens, who barely knows his storms from his tsunamis.

It doesn't take long for Sky to become enchanted by the strange weather patterns over St Felix. Sonny is convinced they link to local folklore, but Sky knows her science too well to fall for that. Until she meets Walter, a local weather watcher with no qualifications beyond a lifetime of experience and Sky is forced to question everything she thought she knew about the weather, herself...and Sonny.

Cornish Clouds and Silver Lining Skies

An uplifting, enchanting, Joyous, romantic read. Learning about the weather was captivating, a book to read in all weathers. Pictures in clouds do happen, you just need to look out for them. Very well researched and written, with additional information on ME too. I very much enjoyed the book, & have recommended it to my friends.

Excellent story. Excellent portrayal of ME.

A fabulous story with a very true representation of ‘The Monster’. Or ME. I too have lived with ME for nearly 40 years. I couldn’t have portrayed how it affects my life any better if I’d written it myself. Well done Ali McNamara, the way it intermingled with a great storyline.

Enchanting story

Base the story in Cornwall, add a mystery, 2 delightful dogs, the odd romance and a spot of magic. What’s not to love?
Very pleasant weekends listen.

Totally Brilliant!

How do I begin to review a book that has left me feeling bereft after it’s finished. If you love weather, a bit of myth and legend, a shower of romance and clever plot. This is the book for you. Loveable characters, some edge of seat action along a beautifully meandering story. Add into that the authors careful and considerate understanding of disabilities, both viable and unseen. Just totally brilliant.
