About this listen
Copper River opens with a terrifying scene that sets the tone for the suspense that grows stronger with each succeeding chapter. The narrator's taut performance underscores O'Connor's vulnerability and his vigilance.
Author William Kent Krueger has won two Anthony Awards for his gripping Cork O'Connor mysteries. Set in remote areas of the northwest, each book in the series launches the Minnesota lawman into challenges that push his endurance to new limits.

Not tbe best Cork O’Connor but a decent listen.
I felt this was a sequel to the last book. I loved the first three books but the last two not so much. I found it a little predictable and far fetched in areas. Cork leaves his family to keep them safe while he has a bounty on his head. He stays with his cousin who doesn’t like him in the beginning - because he once arrested her deceased husband. Her son finds a dead body and Cork gets embroiled in the mystery. An ok book and ties up some loose ends.
