Summary

Croeso i Aberarthur, pentref bach cysglyd yn y De. Mae llawer o bobl yn byw yma, ac mae stori gyda phob un. Credwch chi fi.

Welcome to Aberarthur, a small sleepy village in the South. Lots of people live here, and each has a story. Believe you me.

Apparently Aberarthur is a fictional village, in that it exists only in my mind. The funny thing is that as you listen to this book it will exist in your mind too, but entirely through the medium of Welsh.

Please note: This audiobook is in Welsh.

Very good learners’ resource

The vocabulary and grammar are well chosen, and the narration is measured and carefully enunciated. The story isn’t Graham Greene but it’s much better than the contrived scenarios in Welsh textbooks (“my laundry is in the post...”). As a lone learner it was also a big help for my pronunciation.

Lovely reading

Lovely reading of an interesting story. Good pace and really nicely read with a storytellers voice. I wish there were more books like this

Good for Welsh learners

I have found it useful to listen repeatedly as a way of reinforcing Welsh grammar.
