Summary

Heavy caliber cannon fire rips across the harbor of a remote South Atlantic research station.

Worse is to come. When Argentinian forces launch a lightning strike against the Antarctic peninsular, only a single US Navy destroyer stands between them and the country's ambition to seize the continent's rich resources for herself.

The USS Cunningham is sailing into hostile waters, untested, unsupported and far from home. But as the enemy will soon discover, the Cunningham is no ordinary warship, nor her Commander any ordinary Captain...

Critic reviews

"First-rate military suspense". (Kirkus Reviews)

"As lively as Dale Brown, leaner than Clancy, Cobb is a military buff par excellence...packs plenty of hard-charging Neputunian spirit". (Publishers Weekly)

loved it

a stunning war story. I loved this book when it came out and was delighted too see the audio. narration is excellent and really does the book justice. a little dated now as it was set in the future when it was written but is set in2006 but it is still relevant and the technology holds up fairly well. highly recommended. I have already bought the rest.

One of my favourite books, finally in audiobook!

I love this book. It’s one of the best I’ve ever read, and it’s one of my go to’s to relax. And in audiobook format it’s even better!
