Summary

Chase Falson has lost his faith – and he did it right in front of the congregation at this mega church. Now the elders want him to take some time away: far away. So Chase crosses the Atlantic to visit his uncle, a Franciscan priest, where he encounters the life and teachings of Francis of Assisi and rediscovers his ancient faith. Follow Chase’s spiritual journey in the footsteps of Francis, and then begin one of your own through the pilgrim’s guide included in this audio book. Come discover Francis, the first postmodern Christian.

Loved it!

Such a deep and thought provoking story. I could imagine I was on the pilgrim journey too.

Contemporary wisdom literature at its very best

The story of Chase will stay with me forever... the young, broken evangelical minister who cannot play the game any more will win your heart and reveal the face of St Francis to you again. This book might not be the greatest literary novel but in its pages the grace of God is revealed and the hope of the church. I can't tell the story, that would be unfair... but characters that warm your heart, challenge your mind and change your life exist in these pages...

a must for any tertiary Franciscan!

This book is essential reading for a third order Franciscan. It highlights what being a Franciscan means in today world but it also reminds us of the need for simplicity in our lives as Francis taught..By reading this book it's a very good way of of encouraging us to reflect on our lives as teriaries and consider how close we live to the Franciscan ideal.

A good journey with faith book.

A really good book. Very enjoyable, although it took me a little bit to get into it.
Sadly the sound quality was not brilliant and at times sounded like it had been recorded in a bathroom.
A lovely 'journey with faith' book.
