Bad narration
I ignored the other reviews that said the narration for this audio book was terrible and I wish I hadn't, the female narrator spoke like a child who was learning to read, which is a shame as the book on the whole was quite interesting.
With better narration this book would be well worth a listen, however as it stands it was a chore to get through the female narrators chapters.

A really good and interesting intro to economics
Well thought out chapters bought together well at the end.
If you want to start learning about economics I found it a handy guide to start

one of must read (listen) books

good book let down by narration
A really nice introduction to economics, definitely worth a read for anyone who is interested. It does a good job of remaining pretty apolitical, and explaining the equipoise in modern economic theory. I particularly liked the chapter about what central banks do including the history of QE. The narration unfortunately lets it down. In particular Patel has a whistling noise on 's' sounds. Nothing against her in real life but for an audiobook I really think they should have got a professional to read this. Meaning, or should I say 'Meanin' is just a little flat and doesn't sound very interested. I would love to see more from these authors/the bank of England but they need to hire a voice actor for audiobooks.

Excellent for starting to understand the economics
Maybe not the best book for people who are proficient in economics, but brilliant for beginners. Complex stuff is reasonably simplified, reducing the fear of not understanding economics jargon. Didn't touch on many branches of the economy, but they clearly state that.

Narration!
A good book explaining economics, sometimes too basic. Main problem is the narration, alternates between the authors but Rupal Patel’s vocal fry is just too painful to listen to so I had to skip her chapters after a while.

Good book. Poor narration.
The book is very good and the content is engaging. It's by no means revolutionary if you're interested in economics, but the contents is good. The narration however is poor. The two narrators each read alternative chapters. Neither seem excited by the subjects and you can often hear throat clears, page rustling or odd pausing. Would still recommend but it's not the usual high calibre of narration you expect from audible products.
