About this listen
A grumpy-sexy alien and his (mostly) human sunshiny mate find the road to happily ever after is paved with challenges, including a troublesome ex, alien refugees in need of help, unexpected mating instincts, and someone trying to expose alien existence on Earth. Tentacles and tarnation! Will they be able to handle everything in their way and finally get engaged?
River
Working for the Alliance is a sci-fi nerd’s dream–aka mine–come true. I’ve even won the heart of my grumpy-sexy alien boyfriend. Nothing can bring me down, baby. I’m walking on freaking sunshine! Except now one of Kai’s douchey AF exes decides to turn up like a bad case of crabs that he can’t get rid of. I don’t trust him one bit. But I’ve got even bigger problems to worry about. Like helping some awesome aliens in trouble, and maybe moving in with Kai, who’s totally going to propose any day now—right? Oh, and my shady relatives might be hiring an assassin to take me out. So, you know, a day in the life of River Sullivan. I’m sure everything’s going to be fine. Won’t it?
Kai
Just when we think we have a new lead on the drug dealer targeting extraterrestrials on Earth, we run into a major roadblock. And the longer this mess of an investigation drags on without answers, the less I like it. Outside of work though, things are going amazingly well with my adorable mate–dear galactic gods, how did that happen? But with an ex back in my life wanting to be friends again, and the threat of a potential assassin looming, things are getting a little complicated. I love River with both my hearts—and all five tentacles—but even I’m worried I might not be able to protect him from the dangers ahead. Also, I need to figure out how the heck I’m going to propose to him. River deserves something “epic,” and I don’t want to let him down. Am I going to be able to deliver?
Can’t Help Falling in Love with an Alien (Tentacular Tales #2) is a (116,000 words) M/M sci-fi rom com and the second book in the series. It should be listened to in chronological order. This installment features a pajama party date that will go down in infamy, inappropriate team t-shirts, a half-baked love poem, more Captain Starblade and Lord Vardox, drunken shenanigans courtesy of spaceship moonshine, unexpected mating instincts, plenty of new aliens with problems for River to solve, and tentacles galore. And possibly an epic proposal? This book has an HFN ending and no cheating. Never fear—there is a guaranteed HEA by the end of the series!

What a masterpiece <3
Another winner from Chloe Archer. The world building, the writing, the lovable characters are absolutely brilliant. I adore Kai and River so much! I love how the ending of the book was satisfying, but the overarching plot keeps you engaged for the next one.
Greg Boudreaux’s narration only elevates it all. His voices for the characters are amazing, they are all unique, matching their personality and background.
I can’t wait for the next one!

Brilliant Story & Listen🎧Hilarious & Entertaining!
Wow, you definitely can’t help falling in love with this series and the amazing characters! Chloe Archer delivers another spectacular and laugh out loud “Tentacular Tales” novel. This book is a continuation of River and Kai’s story and picks up where the first one, “It’s Not Unusual To Be Loved by an Alien”, left off, not only is it a not to be missed story and just as amazing as this book, but to get the most out of the world building, character growth and the ongoing storyline you want to read or listen to that book first. River and Kai quickly became some of my favorite characters and the secondary characters are close seconds and several of them will be getting they own books so I am excited about that. Archer created something very special when she created this series and the world it is set it, the characters and storylines are fascinating and the dialogue is absolutely brilliant. I am loving the in the moment scenes between the two leads as well as the ongoing storylines that are run through out the series. The writing, plotting and world building is phenomenal, as is the character growth and development. The story is entertaining and has the perfect balance of drama, humor and wit, heartfelt emotions, and some steamy romance, tentacles and all. Chloe Archer, thank you for another fabulously hilarious story, I am looking forward to what comes next in your “Tentacular Tales”.
🎧 📚🎧 I listened to the audiobook edition, Greg Boudreaux, whose talent knows no bounds, delivers an exceptional and “out of this world” performance bringing these characters and story to life. As always, his character voices are perfection, each voice is fitting to that character’ persona, and I loved how he took each role, ran with it and made it his own. You could hear how much heart and emotion that he puts into his work as he captures all the characters’ emotions and has you feeling every single one. He handles the witty dialogue with ease and lands the humor effortlessly. Boudreaux is an entertaining storyteller and a versatile voice artist. His narration enhances this already brilliant story to another level. Thank you for another outstanding listen, it is always a pleasure to listen to your audios.

nonstop action and humour
The narrator did a fantastic job of bringing River, Kai and the rest of the cast to life. It was great to be able to listen to this fabulous novel.
Once again this book had so much humour that I was constantly grinning at something our main characters were doing or saying, especially River, well mostly River in fact, but Kai is coming a close second as River's influence is loosening him up big time. River is adorable and just as everyone (alien) he meets in the novel loves him, I loved him too. He seemed even more over-the-top in this novel and is doing so well putting his stamp upon Team ANAL.
There is so much going on in Can't Help Falling in Love with an Alien, River is trying to come to grips with the news he found out at the end of book 1 (I don't want to spoil it for people who haven't read it yet), an assassin is very likely after him, he's setting up ORAL, his relationship with his tentacled boyfriend Kai is zooming along and growing stronger by the minute, Kai's brother is still smitten by an oblivious uncle Benji, they are still tracking down the illegal drug issue and Kai's ex has shown up and is causing issues.
Chloe Archer has really come up with a great concept and her explanations and descriptions are so good I can completely imagine what she puts on the page.
I love the continuing snippets of River's 'Tentacle porn soap opera' story and the interchange between Captain Starblade and Lord Vardox along with the fan mail River receives and Kai's responding correspondence.

Back with River and Kai
I waited for the audio to be released because of how fantastic Greg Boudreaux was narrating the first book of the series. Honestly, if it has Greg Boudreaux narrating, then I'm likely to enjoy it, and I did here.
This kicks off pretty soon after the last book ended with River and Kai getting pretty serious. Unfortunately, we have scheming exes and assassins to deal with.
More zany ideas from River that usually work out and plenty of steamy scenes. I particularly liked the fan mail emails.
Mal and Benji's story is set up nicely too!

cant fault the book or the narration!
Independent reviewer for GRR, I was gifted the AUDIO file of this book.
This is book 2 in the Tentacular Tales series, and it cannot be read/listened to as a stand alone. You need book one for fully appreciate River in all his glory! It's really rather good!
And this one is really rather better!
Much of my enjoyment of these books is the narration by Greg Boudreaux, but of course, he can only work with the material given, and Archer nails it with this second book!
River and Kai are settling into their new mating. Something happens, then something else, then something ELSE happens and it's one thing after another. Nasty Exes, kidnapping and an escape for a group of men who faced death, and it's a wonder these two get any time together!
I loved this, I really did. Far more than book one, and I can't figure out whay, but who am I to question my book brain!
We get Kai and River, and their relationship and what happened to Kai and his ex. There is more about Mal (Kai's brother) and Benji (River's uncle). There is more about River's family and what that means for him now. There is a Magic Mike inspired show, a childrens 4 foot Elvis and a lot, lot LOT of fun, in the danger and drama!
I didn't READ this before listening like I did book one. I wanted to save myself for the full glory of River and Kai in audio because I really do think Boudreaux is the ONLY person who could nail these two, along with all the other voices!
I cannot fault either the story or narration so
5 full and shiny stars across the board!
OH one more thing! I am loving Captain Starblade and Vardox and I really want their story in FULL! Oh Ms Archer, are you listening?? Please write their story in full! PLEASE!!!
