Call Me by Your Name first swept across the world in 2007. It is the story of a sudden and powerful romance that blossoms between an adolescent boy and a summer guest at his parents' cliffside mansion on the Italian Riviera. During the restless summer weeks, unrelenting but buried currents of obsession, fascination, and desire intensify their passion as they test the charged ground between them and verge toward the one thing both already fear they may never truly find again: total intimacy. André Aciman's critically acclaimed debut novel is a frank, unsentimental, heartrending elegy to human passion.

More praise for Call Me By Your Name:

"Hammer’s soft, velvety voice lends itself perfectly to the story and its Italian setting. While you might think this one isn’t worth a listen if you’ve already seen the movie or read the book, many reviewers say it is still worth taking in even if you know the story - some even say it’s worth listening to more than once." Editor reviews

Editors Select, October 2017

Andre Aciman's critically acclaimed novel may finally be stepping into modern classic status, having recently emerged from relative obscurity due to the upcoming movie release starring Armie Hammer. And its place in the literary canon is well deserved, depicting perfectly the infatuated experience of first love (I won't say "feeling" because the picture Aciman paints is not a singular "thing" - it's very much a journey through obsession). The story is beautiful, erotic, and feels firmly rooted in human truths (and will make you blush). But what makes it truly worthy of listening to - and why it's my pick for October - is THAT voice. Armie Hammer's narration is among the best I've ever experienced. —Emily, Audible Editor

Critic reviews

"...Hammer's voice is brimming with such melody that, if you listen to it long enough, you can probably get drunk off it." (Vulture.com)

"...Armie Hammer (who plays Oliver in the movie) steps effortlessly into Elio's interior world. The result is staggering." (BookRiot)

Love, love, LOVE!

Having been a huge fan of the book for a long time I was ecstatic to discover that they would be making a film too. When I watched (and adored) it, it made me really want to read the book again, until I read that Armie Hammer was the one to narrate the Audible version. I love Audible books to help me sleep and Armie’s voice is beautiful to listen and relax to. The fact that he is reading one of my favourite novels is even better!
I love everything about Call Me By Your Name; book, film and now audiobook!
P.s - more Armie Hammer narrations please!

AMAZING

This book is absolutely stunning. It is purely an accurate representation of a very real type of relationship and the struggles that come with it. I would highly recommend to anyone, especially this version narrated by Armie, the actor for Oliver in the movie as he reads it like the script transporting you into the world of Call Me By Your Name.

HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!

I absolutely adored this book! this is the 2nd time I read/listened to it (in a span for 5 days) you cam feel the emotions put in every word. I'll forever remember the now infamous peach scene and Elio the angsty teen with a raging crush.
