Summary
Brought to you by Penguin.
One month. Two rivals. A plot twist they didn't see coming....
Nora is a cut-throat literary agent at the top of her game. Her whole life is books.
Charlie is an editor with a gift for creating best sellers. And he's Nora's work nemesis.
Nora has been through enough break-ups to know she's the woman men date before they find their happy-ever-after. That's why Nora's sister has persuaded her to swap her desk in the city for a month's holiday in Sunshine Falls, North Carolina. It's a small town straight out of a romance novel, but instead of meeting sexy lumberjacks, handsome doctors or cute bartenders, Nora keeps bumping into...Charlie.
She's no heroine. He's no hero. So can they take a page out of an entirely different book?
Set over one sizzling August, Book Lovers is the new chemistry-filled 'rivals to lovers' rom-com from New York Times number one best seller Emily Henry.

Good summer listen
Good summer listen. Loved the narrator, she added some really wonderful nuance to the characters voices which other audio books lack.

Great Light Listen
For those who want a light enjoyable read, this book is for you. If it would have made me cry or at least skip a beat, I would have given 5 stars.

Great story, bit wordy.
Loved the story line, I was hooked. So much detail which was sometimes beautiful but sometimes, it was too much. Lots of description which I often wanted to skip past to get to the point. The narration was brilliant. Would definitely recommend.

This book stole my heart
This book was heartwarming warming, heartstealing and heartbreaking in the best way. Picture the vibes of a Meg Ryan rom-com, and then add the sparkle of characters who are so wonderfully complicated and utterly perfect for eachother in the best way. Emily Henry has instantly jumped into my top 5 authors list. Whelan is also such a fabulous narrator!!

I listened to this book in a day and a half, I couldn’t put it down. Sobbed like a baby in some parts but this book is something else

Excellent narration, sadly didn’t enjoy the book.
The narrator sounded great, doing the different voices for each character. However, I really didn’t like the book about 3/4 of the way through, it dragged on and I felt the FMC was being unnecessarily ridiculous.

Excellent, not the classic romcom
I loved the main characters in this book, likeable and normal in their imperfections.
A trope to which one can easily relate

love it but one minor thing
although all throughout it was on about books with no endings i somehow didn’t expect it not to have an ending and i thought it’d be a happy ending which it is but i need to know more i need to know what happens after the epilogue

Loved it, loved it, loved it!
I liked Nora from the first pages, and I cannot stress enough how important it was that she and Charlie were so compatible as a couple.
Not only do they have physical attraction and hilarious interactions, but also similar worldviews and aligned goals. I can easily imagine them in their 50', sitting in their NY apartment, laughing over some wordplay.
