Summary
Talented pastry chef Miles Costa is bored. Working at the celebrated Napa Valley restaurant Terroir is supposed to be the cherry on top to a promising career, but instead it's a creative desert. So when he gets an offer to turn his online video series into a career, he leaves his three best friends in Napa and swaps Terroir for Los Angeles.
With the resources now at his fingertips, turning his pastry series into a hit should be easy. Then Miles meets his producer, Evan Patterson, and realizes he’s screwed. And not even in the good way.
It's not a meet-cute...
Evan lives to work and loves every minute detail Miles loathes. Not only that, he seems hell bent on micromanaging every aspect of Miles' show despite the fact he knows nothing about the culinary arts. Evan doesn’t even like sweets - until Miles seduces him with a rainbow of delectable confections he can't resist.
...it's a collision.
With every confrontation, the intensity between them flares even hotter until they're not sure if it's hatred they feel... or something else. Is it possible for two people with nothing in common to discover common ground and romance?
Bite Me is a stand-alone m/m romance featuring enemies to lovers. Don't listen hungry!

as good as the ebook
The story is always 4 or 5 stars, because if I wouldn't like the story as ebook, I wouldn't listen to the audiobook.
The performance from the narrator is also very important for me. I can't listen to a lot, because my English as a non-native-speaker isn't so perfect to follow a whole story over hours, when the narrator speaks too fast or too sloppy. Normally I have to SEE the person, who is talking to me in English. It took me a little bit, to come into the narrator, but at the end, it worked. I only have to take a few breaks between. I'm just not yet finish with the book, but I listen enough to give a review.
PLEASE READ MY RATING SYSTEM!!!
To my ratings:
5* - very very good
it's like an A+
4* - very good and will be often re-listening
it's like an A
3* - it's more then a one-time-listening, but not more then twice a year.
it's like a B

Good story with good narration
It took me a little to warm up to the story, I think it's because I didn't really connect with Miles at first. But I soon found him to be a bit of a complex person - sarcastic, proud sometimes, humble at other times.
The story was interesting - l liked the back and forth between Miles and Evan while they were trying to feel their way around their professional and personal relationships, although I didn't like how Evan seemed to fault Miles.
Wyatt Baker is a new to me narrator. I found his style a little stilted, otherwise good. It's a good way to experience the story.

Really enjoyed this
Author Beth Bolden and narrator Wyatt Baker were both new to me, I really enjoyed both and will certainly look for more work by both of them. The story felt very original, and it had me engaged through the majority. I cared about both the M/C's and really wanted them to get their happy ending! I did get frustrated with both M/Cs at times though and just wanted to bang both their heads together - they're lucky they ever fixed their relationship :) Although the conflict was a good part of the story, it did drag on a bit too long for me, about a chapter too much in fact, and I got a bit fed up of their behaviour. Then it seemed like their resolution came suddenly, out of nowhere. Perhaps it could have been a bit more gradual, instead of the sudden hate to love feelings.
Wyatt Baker was fab, I loved all the voices, and was especially impressed with the two M/C's during their arguments and banter - the sarcastic tones were brilliant!
All in all, a really good story - great start to the series.and I'll be looking out for book two in the near future.

Awful writing.
New to me author. First, and last book I'll listen to by her. The writing was dreadful. The first three chapters in particular were rambling and overlong. There was so much head hopping that I got whiplash. The narrator is solid but even he couldn't save this book for me. Leave your brain cells at the door for this book.
