About this listen
Carl thought his life was on track until disaster struck. Now he looks like a 35-year-old and is out of points, so he needs to scramble to change the situation before anyone finds out the truth.
The question is, what should he do next? Buy more businesses, or focus on his love life? And always in the background is his family, wondering what happened to their father and grandfather and if he will ever talk to them again.
Biomedical Self-Engineering: Book 2 is a LitRPG slice-of-life adventure, following Carl as he discovers new ways of living when he is nearing the end of his own life. There are no explicit scenes or harems, and very little swearing.

Just as good as the first.
It still has some 'beggars belief 'moments in it especially when it comes to his health but the story itself is engaging. I can see some problems in the future as his is becoming very dismissive in his dealings with people and the stress is starting to show. And that ending... not sure that Barb is really the right girl for him but he just can't catch a break with her ! Don't want to spoil it for others so the very end is just going to fester in my mind until I get the answers I want/need lol

BRILLIANT!!!!
Even better then the previous volume, alot of progression and business ventures as well.
Still quite a few mysteries left to solve but nothing off putting.
Also that ending 🤣🤣🤣

Lovely Amble back into Carls world
Life with Carl is filled with heart, honour, truth and justice and now his DNA is evolving too. The chapters start with proverbial nuggets and the simple truth and happiness of a life filled with principle of helping others.
Really want to know what he engineers next..

disappointment compared to the first
a lot of what made this story interesting in the first book were ignored in favour of going back and forth over stupid decisions. I don't want to spoil anything but the interesting thing at the end of the last book amounted to pretty much nothing. the blue boxes and his interection with them is really inconsistent throughout this one. Then at the end in the prologue he comes to a ridiculous conclusion about his relationship based on nothing. Really disappointed as I enjoyed the first quite a bit don't think I'll be reading the next one

dissapointed
I looked forward to more DNA system, aliens, and treasure hunting, but was disappointed with a lot of filler about following an MC who couldn't do anything but spend points three times to fix his stupid decisions
