About this listen

Originally published as Little Lies.

Pirriwee Public is a beautiful little beachside primary school where children are taught that ‘sharing is caring'. So how has the annual School Trivia Night ended in full-blown riot? Sirens are wailing. People are screaming. The principal is mortified.

And one parent is dead.

Was it a murder, a tragic accident, or just good parents gone bad? As the parents at Pirriwee Public are about to discover, sometimes it’s the little lies that turn out to be the most lethal. Little Lies is a brilliant take on ex-husbands and second wives, mothers and daughters, school-yard scandal, and the dangerous little lies we tell ourselves just to survive.

Kept me hooked

This was a great listen. I listen when I run and this actually motivated me to get out there, if only to hear more. The narrator was excellent.

Great but you can see the ‘twists’ coming from the start

I really enjoyed this but guessed all the main plot ‘twists’ from almost the beginning. I’m usually not great at this so they must have been quite obvious! Loved the narrator and it’s a great story.

A great book reflecting modern society

A great book reflecting a small slice of modern day to day life in kindergarten school, with clearly relatable characters. The story was beautifully narrated and fit the book perfectly. I would recommend this book.

Absolutely brilliant!

This is the second book by Liane Moriarty that I have listened to, and read again by Caroline Lee. I can see me listening to every single one of her books as they are so gripping and you have no idea of what is going to happen next. The two books I’ve listened to have both had very clever twists in them that I never expected at all. I can’t wait to listen to the next one ......

Excellent narration, excellent story

Recommend this book to all. An excellent “who dunnit?” read with comedy, despair and unexpected twists throughout. Well narrated - able to recognise the characters’ different voices within a few chapters. Gripping.
