About this listen
The love story of a witch who saves the world and the vampire who saves him.
As the battle rages around him, Laurence stops to witness a witch casting a powerful magical arc. Werewolves race past, running for cover, but Laurence can't tear his gaze from the vulnerable spellcaster.
When Remy is injured, he doesn't expect a vampire to come to his rescue. What is he to Laurence if not dinner? But Laurence carries him to safety, ensures he gets treatment, and protects him from a pack of angry werewolves.
No one knows how long the magical arc will hold. Frightened by what might happen when it falls, Remy needs to escape the frontlines and find a safe haven before his own people hunt him down for treason.
As sparks fly between the unlikely pair, can they find solace in love, or will the supernatural war claim two more victims?
Beneath the Opal Arc

Beneath the Opal Arc is an MM Paranormal Romance packed with adventure, a steamy love story, and danger at every turn. This novel contains violence and scenes intended for mature listeners. This is Book One of a series, and though some threads are left for Book Two, there is no cliffhanger. These characters get their HEA with another adventure yet to come!

Spellbinding
This book is absolutely spellbinding, and once I started reading I did not want to put it down. It's very creative and different from anything else I've read. The world-building is comprehensive, and the main heroes and secondary characters are fully and beautifully drawn. Both the witch Remy and vampire Laurence are anomalies in their societies - in the midst of a struggle between vampires, witches, and werewolves, each risks himself to help supposed enemies. The book is full of magic, action, tension, conflict, connection, and romance. I loved Remy from the get-go, and warmed up to Laurence pretty quickly. (He saved Remy after all, how could you not love him?) There is a lot of sexual tension and build up before anything steamy actually takes place, but when it does, it's HOT. There are still some open questions at the end, and I am super eager for the next book about this world and couple.
I received an ARC and am voluntarily leaving this honest review.

After reading the ebook, I was given the opportunity to review the audiobook. The narration was fantastic and really brought the characters to life. Much better than just reading the book!
I received a free copy of the audiobook via Story Origins and am voluntarily leaving this honest review.

Really good!
Very enjoyable story. A different take on a vampire and witch pairing.
At the opening of the story, Laurence is pulled (by his feelings) to keep Remy (the witch) safe. What follows is a story of adventure, mixed in with humour and romance that had me thoroughly engaged - a paranormal road trip. The world building was well done, though it occurs a little later in the story.
I enjoyed the narration by James Paris, but admit it took me a couple of chapters to get used to the voices he used (he's new to me). Overall, it's a good way to enjoy the story. Recommend unreservedly.
