Summary

Not Quite Believable

Found it An ok listen It started well but I lost interest halfway through and found the ending disappointing

Totally gripping
I mainly listen to thrillers around 4 times a month, and there's always a lag or a dip or parts I don't believe fully or don't engage with as much. However, this book has got to be one of the most interesting and gripping stories I've read. I was hooked from the first paragraph and I was gripped until the last word. Will definitely be following this author!

A dark & gripping story I couldn’t put down!
A dark story centring around mental abuse but very well written & read. I loved the way Millie and Grace outwitted Jack but perhaps a little predictable ending once Jack’s plans had been revealed. Never the less I was hooked until the end.
I wouldn’t recommend to anyone who has had negative experiences of mental abuse as you would find this too upsetting. However, for anyone who loves a story that switches from past & present, heightening the tension about what the ending could be would love this book.

Wow
Loved this book, so sad it ended! Really cleverly written, really pulls you into the story and uses some interesting angles which I haven't read before. The narrator is fantastic, really puts others to shame! I'm so picky nowadays when it comes to audio books that i'm now trying to find my next one and the bar has been set very high!

Absolutely loved it.
fantastic story.
very well written . A story that I didn't want to end.
I mostly enjoyed the anticipation of what might happen next.
Just shows that nobody knows what happens behind closed doors.
I would have loved a little more at the end or a second book.
One of the best books I've listened to for a while.

Best book I've listened to in a long while!
I highly recommend this book to anyone who loved gone girl or similar books. It's chilling and moving, and you won't be able to stop listening until you know how it ends.
