About this listen

A Warhammer 40,000 Audiobook

The crew of the Baneblade Mars Triumphant wage bitter war against the orks for the fate of the Kalidar system – but old rivalries threaten to doom them all.

LISTEN TO IT BECAUSE

It's fast-paced, hard-hitting action based around one of the mightiest battle tanks in the galaxy – and Guy Haley does a fantastic job with not only the crew of the Baneblade, but their ork enemies too, making this a fascinating look at battle from both sides.

THE STORY

By the blessing of the Omnissiah was the Mars Triumphant born – from the forges of the Adeptus Mechanicus, the mighty Baneblade super-heavy battle tank comes to bring death and destruction to the foes of the Imperium. As part of the Paragonian 7th Company, Honoured Lieutenant Marken Cortein Lo Bannick commands the venerable war machine in a bitter war against the orks in the Kalidar system. As the campaign grinds on it begins to take its toll upon his crew, and old clan prejudices from the regiment's home world arise once more. In a war which cannot be won by force of arms alone, such division may prove to be their undoing.

The human and machine

I didn't think that a super heavy tank could make me feel loss, but this is absolutely the case in Guy Haley's book! The agency given to a machine is always a gamble, but here it worked like a charm!

Guy Haley does it again!

I really enjoyed this book, and i think you will too if you’ve ever read steel tread or other astra militarum novels.

The story at its core is about a tank crew on a mission to take back an Ork infested planet, some good angles here on nobility, tanker life, Ork kunnin and brutality as well as a very good reception ark.

It’s a quality story and for me was the perfect length and depth. Gutted it finished to be honest but really enjoyed. Definitely going to re-read this gem.

Great 40k novel

If you love grimdark tank stories nothing beats HH: Tallarn, but this one comes close. nice characters that you get to know and like. listen to it if you like 40k tanks and have listened to Tallarn already.

BANEBLADE

Pretty good and accurate to the true lord of the tanks, on the super heavies strengths and weaknesses!
Good battle descriptions with a nice narration.
I am pleased with the purchase and recommend to a super heavy fan like myself, the sand scum I thought were awesome in their small but important actions !

Give it a listen, the main characters are brilliant and you won’t be disappointed

About as cool, as you’d imagine!

It’s big and it’s unstoppable!
Baneblade is all that it promises to be. Orks and big tanks, sand and war

Great insight into a 40k superheated tank crew

A very enjoyable romp with some Imperial Guard tankers. A somewhat unnecessary back story running throughout for the main character that didn't lend much to the book, but the battle sequences were great, as was the travelling through desert waste, against an interesting Ork enemy. Short and sweet; worth a read, a firmly in the upper percentile of Black Libray books.
