Great story
Would you listen to Bad Signs again? Why?
Yes, I have already marked up for a future listen. This story is a good example of why Ellory is so well thought of as a writer. One of a few books that have made me stop what I was doing just to listen to the story unfolding.
Any additional comments?
The performance of the narrator added to the overall enjoyment of the book.

Sins of the father....
Half bothers Digger and Clay are sent to reform school after their mother is killed by Digger's dad. They have to learn to be tough to survive, and the reader feels helpless for the two boys given such a hard start in life. Unfortunately, a storm erupts, causing a stay over for an inmate on his way to a hanging; the prisoner escapes taking the boys hostage and a murderous road trip ensues.

Violent, disturbing but truly gripping
This is one of those audio books that comes along occasionally where you want to schedule your day around it. The characters engage the listener (helped by good quality narration) and make you 'give a damn'. Some aspects of the story are gruesome and the language doesn't pull any punches. In some books you feel this is just compensation for a mediocre story, but in this story it just adds to the tension and the almost physical discomfort I felt at times drew me in deeper. Highly recommended, unless you're easily offended.
