About this listen
Johari
When I applied to medical school, I never thought I'd be paying the bill by becoming a surrogate. I suppose a girl has to do what she has to do in the end, so I decided to intercept Uncle Sam before he could come for me. Funny enough, it's surprisingly easy to find willing participants. I answered an ad, and the guy showed up at the coffeehouse we agreed to meet at. He showed up frickin'...beautiful and with brown eyes that tightened my tummy in ways they probably shouldn't have. He looks familiar to me. Like I've seen him on the news or in the paper or something.
And the last thing I should be doing is falling for the guy whose baby I volunteered to carry.
Alexander
She's obviously here for someone else, agreed to meet someone else. About a baby? She wants to carry...my baby? Oddly, before the moment I met this woman, the thought had never really crossed my mind. I suppose the idea never had time to form considering I've just been cleared of cancer. I get the news right before I meet her. I meet her, and everything changes. I want a baby. I want another chance to lead a fulfilling life, and I want...her.
But how can I have them both?
Contains mature themes.

Interesting Story
The story was interesting but there was, I felt, a lot of unnecessary waffle which slowed the flow of the story. The female character was annoying, made worse by the flat narrator. I’m pleased this was free in the plus catalogue as I would have been disappointed to waste a credit.

Unexpected drama
The initial encounter between the protagonists drew me in to this fun, dramatic journey. Lots of unexpected twists and turns with input from layered lives made this a believable story. Love, love, love.

Great story with a few twists
Great story with a few twists. Performance was good. Not your typical straight forward romance.

Great story
Amazing story! Female reader slightly annoying to listen to unfortunately with a very repetitive rhythm to her voice.

Love
I love the themes here. Excellent characters, though I have more of a preference for the male narration.

Lovely book
I doubt I am the only one tearing up several times in this book. What a lovely coincidence at the start, turning into a lovey story ( I don't want to give anything away). Well written and narrated. Thank you. 💕

Absolutely fantastic storyline
I couldn't love this story any more. Absolutely beautiful characters. Different family dynamics is so similar to my own it was funny to listen to from another person's perspective. Could of had a few more jokes but by no means important. Would be nice to see this as a Christmas film with snow in the forest and baby born at christmas time. Wonderful story.

loopholes
Johari is the most annoying character I have ever come across, the narrator did not make it any easier. Alex character and narrator was the exact opposite. the story had loopholes and the author did good with the premise but the delivery felt short. I just had to finish the book because I had to. overall 3.5
