Typhoid Mary: Original Super-Spreader?

  • Summary

  • Mary Mallon aka "Typhoid Mary" is a macabre figure who spread disease and death everywhere she went. But there's a lot more depth and humanity to Mary's history than this. She's a someone who is hard to resist when you get to know her (despite all the Typhoid...). Anthony Delaney tells Maddy Pelling the story.

love them

I adore this podcast, I listen to most of them. While this one is no exception it was enjoyable and relatable, off the back of COVID, however this one comment by Dylan left me a little disappointed. He says that it appears that she knew she was infectious because she left employment after they got sick, it could be that she was concerned about getting sick herself. I don't know how she could have know, she may have suspected but what was she supposed to do. Otherwise love the episodes, and both presenters are interesting
