About this listen

While exploring the attic in her cottage near the small English village of Finch, Lori Shepherd makes an extraordinary discovery: a gold and silver bracelet inlaid with gleaming garnets, which she quickly learns belonged to Aunt Dimity. When Lori brings news of the garnet bracelet to Aunt Dimity, it awakens poignant memories of a doomed romance in Aunt Dimity's past. Regretfully, Aunt Dimity asks Lori to do what she could not bring herself to do - return the bracelet to her unsuccessful suitor or to his rightful heir.

Much improved narration!

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

I'd recommend this audiobook to a friend because not only is the story what I'd expect from this series, but the naration is much better than the previous books.

Who was your favorite character and why?

Reg, because, Reg.

What does Christina Moore bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you had only read the book?

She's a better narrator than the one for the previous books - SO much better - no cringing over her pronunciation of Englsih place names and other words by the non-American characters

Better narration

Hurrah for a narrator who can differentiate between American and English characters without making the English characters sound like poor imitations of our royal family. It makes the listening so much more enjoyable. Also I didn’t wince once at a mispronounced English word (as I did in each of the first nineteen novels).
