Editor reviews
Narrator Benjamin Soames' engaging performance creates a clear picture of the interactions between mortals and gods in this retelling of the ancient Greek myth of Arachne. The beautiful and talented Arachne weaves cloths so wondrous that even the gods marvel at her creations. However, when Arachne challenges the goddess Athena to a weaving competition, Athena is offended by her insolence and punishes her. Soames peppers his narration with precisely-evoked character voices, capturing Arachne's arrogance and Athena's anger with great realism.
