Summary

Liberate Your Child from Anger's Destructive Grip and Empower Them to Conquer Life's Challenges With Calm and Rationale

While anger is a normal emotion that everyone experiences, including kids, the trick is to help them express their anger in healthier ways. Instead of suppressing anger and bottling everything up inside, working with them to accept and understand their anger leads to lifetime emotional well-being and healthy relationships. This guide uses simple language for you and your kid to read and discuss together while building a strong bond and having fun doing it.

Inside, you will discover:

How you and your kids can work through anger issues together, even if you can’t remember the last calm and positive interaction you had with them.

The Cooling Down Toolbox filled with fun activities to help kids find their zen, deal with big emotions, and get along with others.

What Dialectical Behavior Therapy can do for your kid—and how to practice it at home by implementing a few simple strategies.

How to work together with your kid to help them use words in place of yelling, hitting, and acting out, even if you feel desperate and think it would take a miracle.

Everything you need to know about anger monsters and how your kid can become an Anger Monster Tamer.

How to know when your kid needs professional help to control their anger, and how you and their teachers can play a supporting role.

How your kid can develop empathy and be kind, respectful, and caring while still holding fast to their own opinions and ideas.

And much more.

A child’s anger isn’t just a phase they’re going through and will grow out of. The truth is if they aren’t guided on how to manage and control their anger and feelings, it won’t get any easier. And the sooner they learn the necessary skills needed, the sooner you’ll find your kid ready to tackle any situation without losing their cool. Equip your child with the tools to conquer anger, regulate their emotions, and make friends.

Great story book that everyone need!!

This book not only provides a great story for kids but also helps adults look back and learn how to manage anger. Each episode deals with the common issues/triggers we all encounter. Personally, I struggle with the 'bait.' When someone tells me something offensive, I just can't control myself. I get so angry because someone said wrong things about me. It's a lie, and I have an urge to prove that I am not that kind of person. However, in Chapter 7, the fish story tells us that what someone says about me doesn't change who I am. It's just a reflection of their emotions at the moment. That really changed my perspective. I feel much better and more confident that I will be able to stay calm and be the bigger person (the bigger fish). I highly recommend it to anyone, even if you don't have a kid to tell the stories to. It's a good way to reflect on yourself.

Awesome book to deal with anger.

I loved the way this book chose to deal with the emotions of kid and dealing with their anger. The stories are so applicable and the lesson is clearly exchanged. I truly loved the "I am the catus" story as it was another illustration of dealing with sibling jealousy and the anger that could have evolved. The Protein bar reward at the end was cool!
